It sounds like he just wants to abolish everything. What's the evidence that these are good ideas?

What, specifically, is a responsible fiscal policy? How would he have prevented this economic mess? How does he suggest that we fix it, now that we're here? What economists support his views? Obama hasn't failed yet, how do we know his appr

I really can't understand why people are so fond of Ron Paul and how his positions would solve this country's problems. Can you be more specific on what approach you believe should be taken to pull through this recession? What is so mislead

How well does it decode video? It looks like your Eee has an integrated Intel GMA 900 GPU - what does the tablet have? The MacBook Air can't even play HD video without stuttering. How does your Eee hold up? http://forums.macrumors.com/show

I've never had a dropped call with my iPhone either. The only person complaining about call quality in this thread is Matt. It's a bit disingenuous to make declarations about how poor a product is when you don't even own one. It seems to be

Your comment does not state that you believe he was wrong. You should be more specific, it doesn't read the way you think it does. Where do you think it rates on the DH scale?

He disagreed and responded to your comment -- I don't think he's reading too much into it. Your reply is being downvoted because it's an ad hominem and it adds nothing to the discussion. http://www.paulgraham.com/disagree.html

I understand your point and I'm dismissing it as FUD because you're playing the "what if" game. Comeback with some uptime graphs. I don't believe it's worthwhile to worry about Google's uptime and it's perfectly legitimate to let them host

Yes, but what does that have to do with Google's reliability? What does it have to do with routing issues between one particular site and Google? He's not claiming that Google is infallible. I'm more confident in their ability to maintain a

I like using GNU Emacs for portability. There are rock-solid nightly .dmgs on the Aquamacs development page.

Actually, Cocoa Emacs is in the 23 (development) branch and Carbon is in 22. Cocoa Emacs definitely has some rough edges. Personally, I use Carbon/GNU Emacs from: http://aquamacs.org/nightlies.shtml

Saying that Mac OS X is basically FreeBSD is inaccurate and I wish that people would stop repeating it. Darwin is built around XNU, a hybrid kernel that's based on Mach, FreeBSD, and 4.3/4.4BSD code. It's true that a lot of code came from B

You mentioned that "units" wasn't part of your system and he pointed out that it's actually a Unix base program (i.e. part of BSD/Solaris/Darwin) that's installable separately for GNU-based systems. What's the problem here? Did you really n
