Tesla already heats the battery in this way- it essentially just puts opposing fields into the motor to generate excess heat even when not moving. https://electrek.co/2017/08/24/tesla-model-3-exclusive-batte..

from the article: "Every Base64 digit represents 6 bits of data. There are 8 bits in a byte, and the closest common multiple of 8 and 6 is 24. So 24 bits, or 3 bytes, can be represented using four 6-bit Base64 digits." So you'

I'm surprised by the reaction to this article. 1. The range is set by the EPA. They are the ones that do the testing and validate the claims. The EPA should fix their range guidelines for EVs. Maybe a summer and winter range would be m

Using $10,000 as an example. Assuming super expensive fuel and terrible efficiency... Gas car - 20 miles/gallon, $4.00/gallon ($4.00/20 = $0.20/mile. $10,000/$0.20 = 50,000 miles) Electric car - 200 miles/74kWh

I'm not sure why you think having a large fleet of vehicles is problem. Rental car companies already exist. As far as fueling/charging- Even if you had to pay a few people in the short-term to do the work, it isn't a high-ski

I think all of this discussion about whether or not LIDAR or cameras are better misses the point that really matters- Will cameras actually be good enough to get the job done? If they are then it doesn't matter which is better. You can

The real problem is, how do you actually design a test that will catch these issues. If you have 3 crashes in millions of miles, you are pretty unlikely to find those errors during testing. I wish Tesla was more open about the way the actua

Mono's speed is a valid point, but I think that's more of a Mono implementation issue than a C# problem.

Not sure why you think that C# is MS-centric. There is nothing about the language that is particularly MS or Windows specific and the .Net Framework was written to be general and cross-platform.

Found the link: http://thisismynext.com/2011/10/18/exclusive-matias-duarte-i... This is the exact quote: “On Honeycomb we cheated, we cut the corner of all that smaller device support. That’s the sole reason we haven’t open sourced it.”

Even with Launcher Pro, other parts of the OS can be laggy. (Though Launcher Pro is amazing.) But I thing the more accurate term would be choppy. You don't notice it that much until you use another platform for a small amount of time. Then

Yes. They said that they didn't release the source for Honeycomb because there was no support for smaller devices because they were "cutting corners". I closed the tab a few minutes ago otherwise I'd have the link for you.

That's a good point. Well there are a couple programs that do what mine does, but it is not something that he would use to make money. He wants the program customized so that his employees can't use it without knowing a password.
