Probably has a lot to do with Chrome being dominant. When it’s clear most people are getting over the hump to go to a not built in browser, it’s not as big a concern.

The alternative they described (make it so AppleMobileBackup required a passcode only when changing the backup location) would require the phone knowing the location of the backup and trusting the other side wasn’t lying. Might’ve been too

I’m guessing, although I don’t know, that they probably had an academic license laying around for another product that they cleaned up for this. A “it’s our source, you can use it for fun but not for money” license. Microsoft has shared sou

I have noticed in recent versions of KDE they put what the app actually is under the name, and the search seems to search those descriptions (like “Kate: text editor”). Still should probably consider renaming them by default, but without co

I wonder if that’s GPU accelerated, the last time I used a macOS VM on a Mac it wasn’t, but it wasn’t with the newest version of the hypervisor.

They forced us to use this in middle and a little bit in high school, never really liked it. The usable space on the page to write details was so low compared to a blank piece of paper, and the summarizing I didn’t think really helped (espe

Most of the mesh APs I've seen on the market also have Ethernet ports so you don't have to just extend the wireless signal around the house. So if OP already had the APs (which it sounds like they did), they just needed to get the

VSC does have reasonable support for tablet editing, there was a big push to make it fully compatible with Safari on the iPad when Codespaces was first in beta. You’re right about mobile though, it’s a nightmare.

Weird, Apple does a similar thing with macOS startup on Intel (and more recently, Rosetta on Linux). If the magic haiku isn’t given the OS won’t start. http://www.rcfp.org/sites/default/files/docs/2012010
