Not completely, it uses the Krypton microVM part of Hyper-V that is used for WSL2, Application Guard, and nothing else. I wish I could arbitrarily run Windows microVMs outside of sandbox.

It says you can use AAD or IdentityServer as OIDC providers, but the doc goes on to explain how to do it yourself with Entity Framework storing user data in a DB and the open source Microsoft.AspNetCore.Identity hooking it into the app. It

I think this very much depends on what you're doing. If it's the typical web app, pretty much everything you'll want is open-source, and most of the time there's some first-party MS thing for what you need (auth? caching

Yes, but usually they have a smaller updater instead of the entire browser always having to run in the background. Guessing that’s what OP is complaining about.

My solution was much dumber, my grandma had an iPad she had no idea how to use, I put a shortcut on there that grabbed the RSS feed for YouTube for her church and put it into a menu she could tap and open the video for. Still works though :

That still needs the Virtualization entitlement on iOS which I thought you couldn’t get if you’re outside Apple, unless you’re jailbroken and can work around the signing requirement. Otherwise UTM runs emulating the OS and is slow as Christ

You can give esbuild a list of dependencies that you want to be external and it won’t bundle them, I’ve done it with the AWS SDK and it works as expected.

I wonder if it'll be possible ever to do Native AOT if you rely on Newtonsoft (which is reflection heavy, last I heard). Yes, yes, I know, use System.Text.Json, but I already have all this code relying on Newtonsoft-y things :(
