As someone messing with LLVM a lot.. basically LLVM is where a ton of development effort is going. GCC is a dead end it seems like. LLVM is designed to be extended where as GCC.. well, usually doesn't really seem to have been designed.

heh I found such a thing once for modems, wasn't writeable, but for a device that's not suppose to have public firmware files, it was interesting. Included old versions and probably debug versions and internal docs too, but that s

I've had exactly this idea before, but never pursued it because I couldn't get past the problem of shadows. It looks like this doesn't either. ie, if you are making a vertical pinch gesture and you happen to get it precise en

You can do this if you right click and do play song/artist radio.. but in my experience it sucks really bad, and has only gotten worse over time. Use to, it was kinda useful. Now it's complete garbage. I'm not sure what they

I can't remember where I read the article, but it summarized it as thus. Al Queda was a big threat, but you hardly ever heard of people being radicalized by them. ISIS on the other hand is clearly quite efficient at radicalizing people

I think you'd have to think about things differently. Imagine the people with only 2 cones... Now imagine if everyone only had two cones "I can't imagine how adding an extra cone would allow you to see these different colors

The most common need was that many altcoins would start off with a large premine, and then they would offer an IPO/ICO/CFC (depending on the time, the term for this would change to be whatever was least likely to get the SEC'

I actually had to address this in the altcoin world (back when that was a thing) because the C-CEX exchange would take money for "destroying" coins, but the method they used for destroying coins was just taking a video of them sen

My favorite is when they broadcast some old TV show and because the TV show itself is so cut that they can't really cut anything out, they instead speed is up to 1.1x or 1.2x. Honestly though you can only really tell by listening to th

My understanding is that with vinyl, if the signal has too high of an RMS at low frequencies the needle can literally skip off the groove, and for this reason vinyl can't necessarily be as compressed and loud..

I mean, I'm just some hobbyist, but my understanding is everyone renders to lossless and then converts that to the various MP3/AAC formats, never changing anything solely because of the final compressed format.
