If you get bored, could you explain what a carrier is in this context? AT&T? I presume you're the founder Venky?

For $300 I expect order status and a customer service webapp that remembers my info. Amazon, apple, etc all make this happen. Google could if anyone there cared.

The nexus 7 will be sabotaged by google's crappy customer service. I bought one at 10:37 am the morning they were available. It's 11 days later and there's no communication and no status on when it will ship. For status you are instructed

Do you have a link? If you're right I'm really bummed. edit: I can't really find details on apple's site and I'm tired. This site [1] discusses apple's recycling, though since it isn't apple proper I'm not sure it's authoritative. The re

I think the economic value of the app industry period has been basically kneecapped by apple anchoring $1 as the proper price of an app. There's just so much work you can put into something that earns $.70 and still make a living. And yes

The other thing is that Chrome updates work. They've only broken something once in I think 3 years of daily use at this point (some update unchecked "warn before quitting"). They also don't generally create popups and the update process i

The blog's example is stupid. Of course if you pop a list in more than one thread the behavior is undefined. Who on earth doesn't expect that? @jagw: ok fair, but that is going to be the very first example of things thou shalt not do when

I had the same experience. I have comcast and I bought a Motorola SB6121 on amazon because it was $85 and comcast charges you $7/mo to rent a cablemodem so you save money after only one year. Anyway, I plugged the modem in, it downloaded

Why would you want to directly participate? It's a lot of tech and overhead for what? I think what you really want is a good dsp that will help you leverage your first party data; maybe look at triggit?

So basically, cisco was going to collect their own behavioral targeting dataset for sale or to get into the adtech business. Better yet, they were going to backdoor this in via an automatic update most users wouldn't see onto a physical de

Sorry dude. When a publisher (pub) sells ad space to an advertiser, there are at least two sets of servers involved. There is a publisher / sell side ad server (pub adserver) which picks which ad to show in an inventory slot on a page view

But, had msft executed, there definitely is room for competitors for both dfp and dfa. Many pubs seem to want something, anything besides dfp. Plus the rise of ssps is (maybe?) a reaction to the pub adservers not innovating. For god's sa

DF / allthingsd is relevant: essentially, there is no profit in the google nexus tablet and they're selling it at a loss. Thus my point is correct: Google can't compete with the iPad and instead they're going for decent but really cheap.
