I guess Org mode is better for someone who is already an Emacs user; and does anyone use Org mode without Emacs? Taskwarrior is probably a fine piece of software though.

I have been a happy Emacs user for nearly two years now, but I still don't use eshell. Is it only me, or is it really painfully slow?

As I pointed in my reply, you could also try KeePass Touch.

On KeePassXC’s website [1], they recommend MiniKeePass [2] and KeePass Touch[3]. I don’t own any iOS device, so I have tried neither. [1] https://keepassxc.org/docs/#faq-platform-mobile [2] https://itunes.ap

Time for me to advertise my personal setup again! I use KeePassXC [1] with Syncthing [2] to synchronize my passwords between machines. No third-party! [1] : https://keepassxc.org/ [2] : https://syncthing.net/

Well thank you, that was a really good read. And so seems to be the rest of the author’s work!

> the collapse of civilisation will, of course, affect tech I've been wondering about that for a few months. I am fully aware that the current organisation of the world will come to an end in like, ten to fifteen years; is it wise f

“looking bad” is a really subjective thing. Here is the syntax for different languages: - Rust https://doc.rust-lang.org/stable/book/second-edition/ch06-02... - Haskell http://learnyouahaskell.com&

It looks pretty much exactly like the Rust match, though. https://doc.rust-lang.org/stable/book/second-edition/ch06-02...

If you want a standalone app, I would recommand youtube-viewer: https://github.com/trizen/youtube-viewer CLI and GTK!

All the content producers I follow have either a Patreon or a Tipeee page, which allows me to give them some money (probably much more than what they would earn if I watched the ads).

For this, you could use uMatrix (by the same author).

That made me laugh. I don't think you would last long, though. And horses are probably not allowed at most concerts.

Currently, when you upload a video on PeerTube, you upload a preview picture with it. So yeah, it can be abused.

Doesn’t client-side encryption effectively suppress the need to trust a third-party? Edit : I wasn't referring to this specific case, where encryption is done with the code sent by a server.

Searx is great! And you don't have to rely on a third-party; you can easily roll your own instance, on your computer or a server. Project homepage: https://asciimoo.github.io/searx/ Why use a private instance? ht

If farmers are “sacred”, how do you explain their horrible suicide rate? There are a lot of problems with the french agro-food industry; but I wouldn't blame farmers alone.
