You are making an invalid assumption. Prejudicial discrimination is bad iff you have total knowledge of all variables. Admissions panels have very little information that in many cases is weakly correlated with the outcomes they are inte

I had a prof I was friends with after graduating tell me they 100% did judge test scores and gpa of asian applicants differently than other races. His stance was that they wanted to select the very "best" applicants. Where best in his mind

use your own heuristic but showering every day, when all you did was sit in front of the computer and walk your dog in 40 degree weather, is wasteful, pointless, and weird.

Seriously showering 365 times/year is, while normal in the US, really pretty bizarre and definitely decadent. Put on some deodorant, shower every other day and this guy could cut down his risk massively. And save colossal amounts of wat

I wouldn't worry about the implementation too much since, as you say, it is really very little code and easy for anyone to code up themselves. What is awesome about what you've done is the idea and the interface. I'd focus on expanding th

And the top 3 apps I use many times per day: email, maps, calendar are way way better on Android at least if you are using gmail. Without exaggeration, if you use gmail the main experience on Android crushes iOS.

Now doesn't kill your battery and although some Androids don't have as good battery as the iphone, many are just as good and some are much better. Honestly if battery is the only thing holding you back, get a Razr Maxx and enjoy double

Sorry, what I described doesn't jibe with my comparison to ActiveMerchant as you pointed out. However it would still be badass to get a dropin solution for using Stripe in more complicated applications. And I know Stripe has a better API

That's a good heuristic but it doesn't trump the fact that it is physically much more difficult than double-tap or tapping zoom in/out buttons when holding a device and controlling it with the same hand which is what you want 95% of the tim

Why wouldn't you just (1) get a local google voice number, (2) forward it to your cell, (3) ask who it is (yay security!), (4) press 9 (or not). I'm honestly not getting the value here. I'm also totally not getting how the security aspec
