I don't think the argument is "they don't work", moreso that they only work because the person thinks it will work and gets a placebo effect - not that the drug actually works to fix a chemical issue in the brain. Here&#

I never understood why you're allowed to just send as much mail as you want to people that didn't ask for it. The particularly egregious letters are labelled as important and with time sensitive information. We already have rules

This is my biggest concern - I see the motivation behind the law of "lets make sure banks give loans to a lot of people if it's for education so they can do it", but we don't need to also remove the risk for them in givi

Yeah I always like to think like this sometimes, but as far as we know a "reference" doesn't make sense in the brain - it doesn't have access to external stuff so in the brain context it would be like neurons connecting

Just saw this interesting video[1] from Wired yesterday - "Inside the 40 Year-Long Dungeons & Dragons Game", funny timing because this seems to be about the same game! [1]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJ-eh

I agree with this reasoning, wondering if you think it'd also apply to the current student loan situation in the US - I've had similar thoughts about how the lenders should be held responsible for giving a loan to a child when the
