While it's not foolproof, in the US, you do have a right to a "speedy trial". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speedy_Trial_Clause

Presumably, not all the workers are the plant are underage. Having compassion for those who are losing their jobs is rather human.

sigzero - We don't disagree ;) I was referring to what the article was "talking about", with /their/ GPLv2+ terminology. If you license it as GPLv2, it's GPLv2 only.

It's not necessary to include that clause. Many software packages don't. When they talk about making a package GPLv2+, instead of GPLv2, I believe that's the distinction they're talking about.

As it should! ;) Lately we've developed this fetish for sites being pixel-perfect across any display. The web was designed to decouple the way a site was designed from the way it's displayed. To allow it to reflow, and people to use their o

Thanks! Seeing "unlimited" bandwidth is actually a deal breaker for me and may other people. Even if you mean it in all sincerity, when I see that, what I assume is that there's a secret hidden limit, and I can't know what it is. So that me

One of the reasons the Raspberry Pi is really cool is it's helping to make it easier for people to get into hardware hacking. It's fun, and it's cheap enough you don't need to worry about break it. While it's not quite as simple as a arduin

We use a IRC bouncer for this; It works really well to preserve history, and let me get messages when I'm offline. when I disconnect, it automatically sets me /away, and renames my nick to e1ven_zz to make it clear to the rest of the team I

If a game can give way to win back small amounts frequently, but still lose on the long-game, it can trigger this effect. You're still likely to lose in the long game, but get small wins frequently enough to keep you from quitting.

I carry around an honest-to-goodness old-school pager. I love it. It works even when I get next to no cell signal, it works when I screw up the newest ROM of my phone. It works when I'm out of battery. It runs weeks on a AA. I have messages

Nice! I have to use things like this all the time when debugging writes to mongo, so this is really neat. I like the design, although being able to resize the windows would be nice. On my 17" Macbook, there's more unused space that I real

Why not phase things in, by having both measurements put on, for all new signs? Exit 14 - 1 Kilometer (.6Miles) Then, as the old signs wear out, eventually all signs are replaced.

Very cool. I'm building a new HW project, based on the Raspberry Pi, and I'm always looking for options that are similarly sized, but pack a bit more power ;) The thing I wonder for things like this, though, is at what quantity I can get th

The problem here is the picture was originally shared with someone who had permission to see it. That person then saved the file to their machine, and re-posted it to twitter. That is not a technological problem.

Very cool! I've been using m2Crypto, Tomcrypt, and PyCrypt manually over the last year or two - I've tried various variations, and changed it up a few times. Most recently, though, I've moved to GPG, because frankly, I don't trust myself to

Very Very good idea for a service. I could see your partnering with fulfillment companies, and integrating with their API ("T-shirts for users 1-2000 are in the mail") Is there any way to get into this without an active KS? I'd like to poke

Interesting! Do you think this risks diluting your brand? If it's less "Tip A Dev you like", and more "Pay some guy", it falls into a much more generic payments category..?
