I read something like that sometime this year. It was kids of age of the kids from Lord of Flies and they gave them an island or something similar, I forgot the results though.

Maybe it's just me (and this is more of a general comment to start pages), I don't see the need for a search bar in start pages, I can easily (cmd/ctrl+k) go to the search bar in the browser and it's not that much harder. As for your site,

I had to scroll horizontally, and the text input boxes are not exactly in the surrounding block. I am using Safari 3.

I like how some of the things actually make sense, such as commenting with BTW, breaking out of a loop with GTFO, etc.

I think a problem is that either all the APIs have to agree, so new sites can be added without manual coding, or every startup has to agree on something, which could get hard. Also, the sites without APIs will not be included in this app?

What if the idea is still just an idea, and you plan to implement it but haven't started? There is no headstart in this case.

I remember the v1, and this definitely looks a lot better. I have one suggestion though: the 3+3 main points on either side are the ones that people will probably read first, so users should be able to easily understand how the process work

Would it be too late if you buy from a shady source and if they know that they are fake? They might not accept exchanges or returns.

I don't know how many people use Jabber, but when I first tried it it was pretty confusing (I figured it out 2nd time trying it, but IMO it should be a lot easier), so I imagine for a normal user it might be confusing to start using Jabber

There is also the problem of which part of the previous statement the 'why' is for. You can construct different kinds of questions and you can only choose to answer the ones that are easy. So unless the 'why' is a complete question, there i

I agree with CLRS. It might be good to look into the mathematical side of the algorithms though, so that you know how they work inside. This way, you can manipulate the algorithms and fine tune it to something you want later on.

Alibaba is quite successful. I've seen an interview with the CEO. He looks somewhat different but when he talks you can see the passion in it.

I was thinking of something like that, but I am not familiar with the copyright laws etc even for test listening music. How does last.fm deal with that? Loyalty fees to the big four?

I go to McGill and our email addresses end with .ca, I think similarly for some other universities in Canada. Interestingly, mcgill.edu does go to mcgill.ca (not emails though, I tried).
