I've used Kdenlive in the past to make some simple videos (I have no experience whatsoever) and managed to quickly produce something; it does the job, it's lightweight, free and was intuitive for what I needed at the time.

Xiaomi Mi A1; bought it about 3 years ago and it's been working great so far, I had a few issues with the screen ghost-touching about a month ago, I had started looking for new phones and it fixed itself. Camera is great for my needs,

Notion does a lot of things right, but it's hardly going to be a 10/10 for me whilst they don't fix the performance, it's pretty awful, idk about the Mac native app but at least the web and "native" Windows app

Not OP but in a very similar position. How much time off do you think would be enough? Are we talking like a one/two week vacation or something more in the range of months (which ofc would imply leaving my job)? Also does taking time o

I like the ethos behind this post; I've been struggling to finish projects for years, I get desmotivated, jump into another thing, don't finish it, come back after months now lost again, advance a little bit, drop it after a weeke

Personally I find leetcode boring because it's not something that would motivate you to see finished; it doesn't have a "real" purpose, maybe trying to build something concrete (a little game, a little web app, whatever)

Those are built by large teams with a lot of backing, and still suffer from many issues (mainly performance; Slack crawls very badly, VSCode and Discord not so much); I think it's gotten easier but still wouldn't call it "eas

I doubt this, at least for my country a simple search in LinkedIn of "NodeJS" and "React" have tenfold the results of searching for "Rails" or even "Django". It might be a bubble but basically every n

I was absolutely expecting a comparison with how hard it's to get started and develop software on modern MacOS and XCode today (is it? I haven't used it).

PopcornTime was hugely popular here a couple of years ago but now Stremio just put up a better product that did the same, and I hadn't heard of Popcorn in a while; I guess that's probably a big part of the reason.

Thanks for the awesome reply! This has been really useful, I was mostly confused about bundle/rake now I understand most of the things to through rake but bundle just provides the env, makes sense. Also I created a project with bundle,

What a coincidence, I just started learning a bit of Ruby with an interpreter I'm writing a couple of nights ago. I will take the opportunity to ask; does anyone have a good introduction to creating Ruby (not Rails) projects? I'm

With WhatsApp you already cover probably 90% of Latin America and Europe; Telegram would be really nice to have since it's gaining traction and it's popular among tech-savvy users. Russia and Asia probably use other apps like WeCh

I live in a place where mugging is somewhat usual, and this could actually be useful if it were slightly cheaper and looked a bit more like a phone, so that I could carry it around and handle that instead of my real phone.
