Do you have regular one-on-one meetings with your boss? The 1st step is to ask. That is when you'll set the goal posts to get the raise. They may give you some objectives to work on or be satisfied with your performance already and gi

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The 'Is it though?" is in response to saying it's a great counterpoint to people complaining about how little they make from Spotify. The author isn't trying to make a living of Spot

Is it though? The author makes $400 a month, that's not even close to being a living. Mis metrics and revenue match up with my own experience with Spotify and they are very difficult to achieve. Now imagine that your musical project ha

Yeah 1 and 3 are related but a little different, let me clarify. 1 is about how Google will inevitably goof some stuff up because they don't know the space. 3 is about how gamers will react to these goofs way harsher than your average

I don't think it will work for multiple reasons. 1. Google doesn't have gaming in their corporate DNA. They will commit a bunch of faux pas that will alienate the gaming community. 2. Streaming games adds latency. Latency problems

I've never met a recruiter who discussed my GitHub beyond asking for the link. As for interviewers, my GitHub has only been brought up a handful of times.

I started having eye strain issues around 25. For me, I was able to fix it by lowering the brightness of my monitor / laptop to the minimum for it to look 'normal' to me.

It's a fairly common task in my experience. Focus on converting one component at a time and it should go smoothly. Don't try to do a complete rewrite at once.

You think you're going to knock out a booking app with those features in 5 weeks? That's wildly optimistic. Charge a reasonable hourly rate (at least $50), do not do a fixed bid.
