Kind of timely with that Oomba piece. I'm a bit surprised though, this seems like a site MS could build in under a year and Smash.gg doesn't have much traction in the major esports AFAIK. Also, I assumed Mixer shutting down was MS

Wow. Absolutely bonkers story, can't believe the investment company kept shoveling money into it after the coup.

Check out Levels.fyi and Blind. If you're in NYC, it's definitely possible to hit above $180k at a Series B-ish startup. It goes much higher as well with FAANG and some of the unicorn level startups as well.

IME startups don't get a CFO until they're preparing to go public or be acquired. In the meantime you can hire a fractional CFO for raising rounds and day to day needs.

Have you considered that maybe it's the head part of the role that's burning you out? I don't think you'd have much trouble switching, but I'd try out being an IC data scientist at somewhere with good work life bala

If your goal is advancing your career at a FAANG company, I think it's a waste of time.

I don't get it. Slack needs a productivity suite to fight off Microsoft eating their lunch with teams getting bundled for free with everything. Salesforce has no synergy with Slack that I can see. I guess you could deeply integrate wit

Hard to say because I've only been using it for a week, but so far it has just worked (which is what I am looking for as well, I don't have the time or patience for anything less).

Have you considered that maybe your work style is not suited to startups? It sounds like you are very methodical, which is great, but startups are default dead when they don't have a money generating product and scrappiness is needed t

Checkout Hatchbox.io, just started using it myself. You basically pay a flat monthly rate for their Heroku-esque management service and then pay for the servers on your provider of choice separately (e.g. DO, AWS, etc).

Man, you know we're doomed to face the climate apocalypse when a simple thread about emissions is this divisive.

Trying to convince someone to use an OS seems so pointless. People who care about it already have strong opinions on the topic and everybody else just uses whatever comes with the machine they decided to buy.

If you've been unsuccessful with self tutoring leetcode for this long, maybe you should look into Interview Kickstart or a similar service. Keep in mind there's a fair amount of luck in the process and don't beat yourself up

A company I worked for used this measure and customers were consistently confused by the wording. Happy customers would respond Not Disappointed At All and we'd have to followup and double check if that's what they actually meant

There is no one size fits all answer to this and following the GitHub you linked would be actively harmful in my opinion. The specifics of your situation matter greatly.

Congrats on launching! I've been (extremely) slowly working on a similar idea for the past few years. I gave up on the pro GM part because demand seemed so low. Best of luck.
