Wouldn't suprise me. A woodworking channel I watch had all of its videos deleted with no warning. The channel owner said that customer support told him it's against their policy to say why videos are deleted.

In Firefox on a desktop, sometimes one "tick" of the scroll wheel jumps down an entire page, sometimes just a few inches, and the scroll wheel stops working until the page is finished moving. You also can't scroll up once you

Yeah, I don't get it when people are saying games are too expensive. I remember buying $50 NES games in the early 90s, and they didn't get updates and bugfixes, and unless it was a game made by a well known studio, there were no

Pretty much. I've started seeing a lot of people saying "innocent until proven guilty only applies to courts" as an excuse for mob justice. It's mostly the same people who say "freedom of speech only applies to gov

It's probably because if you're low income, you likely can't afford the lower MPG or expensive things like tire replacements, and if you're upper income, you just hire people to do work that requires a pickup. I think m

We both know that's not going to happen. Just looks at the comments here; every comment that doesn't show unquestioning support is either flagged or grayed out. Police should be be held accountable, but this is just outrage bait.

Anger isn't what's being punished, choosing to act on it is. I've met people who think that racism is an act that people choose, instead of a natural feeling that you shouldn't act on. Tribalism, whatever it's about

I think something that takes a global effort, like space exploration or switching over to renewable energy, would get everyone working towards a common goal.

People are tribal about anything they identify with, whether it's their race, local sports team, country of birth, etc. It's not okay to be racist, but it's also not something you can legislate away. You may as well try to

I feel the same way. I had a coworker who believed that racism was a personal choice, like stealing, and that you could eliminate it by creating harsher laws to punish people who did or said anything racist.

"No harassment based on certain criteria". The old FreeBSD code of conduct is a good example. Instead of having a blanket ban on harassment, it listed specific criteria that you couldn't harass someone about.

For anyone else interested in similar tricks, here is an in-depth video where someone talks about getting a star with half a button press. It starts out straightforward enough, but eventually gets really interesting when they start talking

Favoring a certain style of government doesn't mean you have to be a fan of every politician advocating for that style of government. It's like a quote from one of the main characters on The Newsroom. >First off, I'm a re

That wouldn't explain things like murder and other violent crimes. It's not like people are regularly getting murdered in the suburbs, but nobody bothered to check.

I think another reason could be the wide latitude you have in the military to punish someone without any official paperwork. If someone did something wrong, you could punish them with physical exercise, cleaning duties, taking away weekend
