If H-1B visas were being used how they were intended, they would be a good thing, but we often see them used as a way to get cheap labor, or even directly replace American workers. The company I work at has H-1B junior web developers, hard

One thing to keep in mind, is whether the difference is big enough to matter. I used to think the same as you, then I talked to my wife about a study I'd read that said the top end of male IQ is higher than the top end of female IQ, e

It's probably getting downvoted because people who support the preferences view it as someone trying to keep minorities down. I've seen a lot of people game the system, where they'll have specialized knowledge from the gover

If the people in underrepresented groups are anything like the females I knew in the military, most of them will hate that they were treated differently. The females had lower physical fitness standards, but competed for the same promotion

The platform can provide tools that allows users to moderate what they want. RES on reddit is good at that, you can make it so you don't see posts from certain users, filter posts and links, etc.

I think "feeling" safe is an important component of a product. Of course the product has to also be effective, but if it's effective and people still don't trust it, then they won't use it. A good example of a sim

I'm suprised at how long the sentence is. I knew someone in the military who got drunk and burned his ex-girlfriend's car, and he only got 6 months.

Depending on the reason for protest, police cars and government buildings are some of the only things it makes sense to burn down IMO. With the recent protests against police and government racism, for example, I'd understand them bur
