I like the Factorio comparison. It's great to show the complexity of manufacturing simple products and how transport delays in one area can affect the whole economy.

You're not allowed to use Cloudflare to just serve files, at least not in free/cheap tiers.

It depends on the kind of accident. Currently, accidents are also treated very differently depending on intend and the likelihood that this fault would've been made by other drivers. I assume software will be judged under the same circ

The important part here is to use the right benchmark for human drivers. Crash statistics are heavily skewed by drivers that are speeding or under the influence. That can be the right benchmark to show how AI driving can help in certain cir

Driving isn't solved though. There are very limited areas where computers can drive. Apart form that, driving is done entirely by humans. Driving would be a task where AI could become hugely important and help to solve labor shortages

You're right, but for me as a customer it doesn't matter. I can choose from two geographical locations and cannot use both at once with one account. So there's no option to get data close to my users.

I'm from Europe so not sure if that's a US thing but that's certainly not such a big topic over here. Yes, public transport can't be 100% safe, being in public never is. But rapes in public transport and blood stains on

I don't want to have my own IP, at least not without frequent changes. My servers should have static IPs but having static IPs at home or for mobile devices only makes tracking easier..

The point is that many people are too lazy to learn a more complicated alternative to something simple they've used for a long time. And that's why ipv6 still hasn't taken off in many areas.

It can make a lot of sense. Store data at the provider that can do it best, analyze your data at another provider with a superior product. You'll find data centers of all major providers within a few miles of each other in at least 10

Backblaze has only two locations and they cannot be used with the same account. Your data is (within one account) always just in California oder Amsterdam. For many needs, having multiple PoPs is crucial.
