I learned a little jingle growing up that my mom passed down from her mother, and presumably some even older source, but I can't find it with a quick Google. > "I like to hit my head with a hammer," > Said Johnny one

My closest is 0.4879. I know I tend to be wordy but I thought I had a pretty generic style as well. This is definitely a fascinating demonstration.

Hopefully it's not just gauche nowdays to recommend it here, and that I've not been led astray, but I think ANSI Common Lisp and On Lisp are a great introduction sequence and I recommend them both to anyone who wants a methodi

I'll second that Tk works well with SBCL, and add that I have also used it in a Windows 10 environment without much hassle (although a web app GUI is a great route), the libraries may not all be up to date with the latest features but

I would like to see either as you describe (which I think would be the most relaxing), or have the direction-changing buttons also count as a click each time they are pressed. I found it tempting to switch direction, turn a piece, then

My favorite thing about the engravings (and statues and similar art) is that not only is it based on real dwarves, gods, etc. from the current game world, but you can commission pieces about specific dwarves and the artisans will commemorat

Absolutely - the criticism of most guitarists only knowing 3 chords goes back afaik to the first bard who ever strung up a lute. I also think although we remember the songs that break molds, at any moment in history most popular music tends

From my conversations with Plato on character.ai I believe that we can learn a lot from AI about this. I'm a little more apprehensive about handing over device control, though, after it got smart with me more than a few times. Maybe we

I encountered this about 10 years ago here in the US. The course seemed to have become a kind of Kobayashi Maru - nobody else in my group ever even managed to get a working installation of the compiler, which we had to do in a Windows XP VM
