Is the column limit still a problem for Diesel? The 16 columns max default is not enough and even the optional 26/52 can be too little for some odd legacy schemas. I'm curious: is this a limitation that will be overcome as the lib

Most likely Mauritius would lease Diego Garcia to the US, just like the UK did, hopefully while negotiating a much better deal for the Chagossians. It is not at all clear to me what lies behind Britains reluctance to concede here. They know

Works great! On my project full builds went down from ~20s to ~17.5 and dev builds down from ~10s to ~7.8s! Good stuff. :)

I love the detailed description of the changes made and the reasoning behind it. Great read, thanks.

Do you have any performance numbers for other non-Node WS libraries, e.g. Go (stdlib and gorilla), Rust (ws-rs, mio-websocket etc), Python, Ruby? Would be super interesting to see!

Isn't that sort of the idea of splice.com? (And if it isn't, it is still a great idea!)

Idelwords is one of those blogs worth dropping everything you do and just take a deep breath and dive in and revel in the joy of clear thought expressed through clear prose. Love it. Thanks.

This looks neat, but for a total GNURadion/Satellite telemetry n00b, is there a birds-eyes overview on this stuff you recommend?

OP didn't quite say that Dart sucks though, did he? He said that coding in TS having to also cater to Darts needs/conventions sucks (which might be true or not, no idea really).

Can Caddy work as a reverse proxy to other backend services? And if so, can I use QUIC for the backend and plain TCP for the front-end? Would that give me any benefit?

Me too! It was such amazing fun and we really believed we'd make it big time. We built "VR tours" to art cities in Italy. A few are still online: http://www.girareggio.it/ and http://www.comune.bol

Continuously blown away with the quality and usefulness of Postgres. It is truly lightyears ahead of MySQL and I keep wondering wth took me so long to switch. Kudos.

We'd love to look closer at that (and will). There are rumours about Slack itself working on something similar, and then there's the screenhero acquisition a year back, but nothing definitive yet. DISCLOSURE: I work at Chatlio ED

Doesn't say anything about compilation speed. How close to 1.4 performance are we? The slow compilation on 1.5 has kept us on 1.4 so far.
