I'm in a similar situation. I want to get myself to like it but I just don't. I don't like this direction and am actively looking into something else even though I really like Mac (and FCPX). A surface maybe? A intel UltraBoo

Every time I'm reading about emacs I'm thinking if it might be worth porting my vimrc to emacs+evil. What do you think? Anyone done the switch? Are there any significant benefits I get from doing it? (Please don't suggest spa

To be honest, the only thing that's causing me to say it's not a "developer machine" is the keyboard. It features the same butterfly switches that the 12" MacBook has and my good are they horrible. I seriously can&#

This event confused me. I had a bunch of emotions from happiness to utter confusion. I love gimmicks and thought the TouchBar was cool. Then I thought about it how I would usually use it, and the answer was "close to never because I to

I would almost always use Elixir these days, the advantages are just that good. I don't see anything python or ruby can give me in a server context that Elixir doesn't bring. If I need to go for speed or write a CLI tool, then I&#

A few questions to Kubernetes people: We are currently using Docker images locally and compose them together with docker-compose. Compose is using a custom devDockerfile identical to the normal Dockerfile, plus a self-reloading / self-

So I saw Elixir+Elm, Elixir+Elixirscript, Elixir+Scala.js here so far. Chiming in with Elixir+Clojurescript. It's what I've been using for most of my projects these days and absolutely love it. Pure functional programming on both,

I am having the same thoughts. As lazy engineers, we try to optimize and automate everything. Heck, even food is optimized with things like Soylent, but for workout and muscle building there just isn't anything yet. There are so many t
