I'm sure some might be acting in good faith. Nonetheless, I believe they're generally wrong. From experience going to the office for the sake of going to the office doesn't help. The company I worked for who had the best comp

The closest to what Twitter used to be is Bsky. The model isn't perfect and some of its features are still not quite there, but it has replaced my Twitter usage entirely. And they've managed the large user surge pretty well. I

Was Kamalas campaign demeaning to the working class and alienating men? I was under the impression that the Dems were doing more for the working class, and that Trump was alienating women.

The idea is similar, but a component contains markup and logic on top of the styles. The approach Tailwind takes is that since the component is named and contained, its elements don't have to be named explicitly. And while we could the

I stand corrected. They actually started phasing out Skype for businesses in September 2019. The timing is more of a coincidence. I do believe the lockdowns might have rushed the transition as the UX felt unfinished for years. I can't

Teams was a rushed Slack clone MS pushed during the lockdowns. VSCode didn't have the same incentives. I was working for a large company using Office 365 back then. Our teams were using either Slack or Skype. The company pushed everyon

Besides the fact that consumers aren't as rational as your question seems to imply, some of the reasons for the iPhone's dominance are the same reasons Apple are getting sued.

Hardware support, sure. Backwards compatibility is a double edged sword though. While it's awesome to have it's also the reason why parts of Windows feel so dated and inconsistent.

I think most people would like fewer Elon Musks, not more. Your Everest example also assumes that giving an unfathomable amount of money to Musk is more beneficial to society than using it for other purposes. I find that hard to believe.

The difference is that in most other countries people don't use SMS. They use WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Snapchat. The fragmentation isn't ideal, but it's better than the vendor locking.

The outrageous cost of daycare means that as a young parent switching to 32h, you're giving up 20% of your pay but saving a few hundred euros a month in daycare costs. So the pay cut ends up being closer to 10%, depending on their inco
