It would be a nice feature if hackernews had a simple news.ycombinator.com/status page that I could trust. I don't like loading those some-sketchy-domain/status-right-now sites.

If you are an emacs user, you might be interested in org-drill, which of course is plain text and uses space repetition algorithm: https://orgmode.org/worg/org-contrib/org-drill.html

While that is partly what I meant, my notion was really about being creative, inventive and having a lot of fun hacking code or hardware without it being about work. I really meant these notions of hacking: - https://stallman.org

Despite all the critisism, C++ has been my favorite language for 20+ years. Nowadays I code 99% of the time in python and previously TypeScript, but all my personal for fun projects are in C++. I just enjoy coding in it so much more. I know

I would agree that the usefulness is reduced if you have tight vertical space constraints (3 lines of text).

Don't underestimate the advantage of being able to move the cursor anywhere in a few clicks without having to take your hands off the keyboard. It is much faster than a mouse. Also, you can save your elbows the pain of constantly reach

My favorite way to move around in Emacs, and to move text around, is via avy-mode: https://github.com/abo-abo/avy . If you have not experienced avy-mode, give it a try, I think you will wonder how you ever got along wit

Thank you stebalien, I will remember these points about EXWM / emacs and concurrency. I'll look into EAT as well.

I live in EXWM. I absolutely love it as a coding environment. EXWM + helm + projectile. I mainly use v-term for cli, but I have always been interested in learning eshell, just never got around to it. I have been thread-locked on occasion, a

I have been coding for so long now that I can't have my keyboard any higher than my lap. I code with it resting directly on my legs. A mouse is right out. Any higher, and my hands turn to clubs. I love emacs because I can do everything

There are many people that believe the contrails, that they refer to as chemtrails, are about weather control. Those are the people that I think are confused. Just search "chemtrails weather control" or "manipulation". I

There are a lot of comments here mocking “chemtrail” believers, but I think the confusion is understandable. There seems to be a mix-up between three terms: contrails, chemtrails, and cloud seeding. Contrails are just condensation trails ca
