I don't get it.. If the records belong to the car thief, shouldn't they get them ? If the records didn't belong to the car thief, shouldn't they be confiscated and it be announced somewhere so the rightful owner could co

This strikes me as super creepy.. But I could see the use-case for stuff like dating-sims where you're kinda supposed to be the creep?

If I get laid off I'll contact my network and update my linkedin. Our economy is arranged such that even though we are two people on full-time, we we can comfortably live off of a single income, and if we were both without jobs for an

I really want to say that all the low hanging fruit has been picked, but in truth, new fruit pop up all the time, waiting to be discovered. New problems pop up, which are waiting to even be identified before solutions can be thought of. New

I agree on this. I don't see any difference between a human looking at my work and learning to imitate it, and some AI doing the same.. The AI will just be better at doing it.

I'm not entirely ignoring it, but I don't believe it holds true for things like cars. I've driven bangers my whole life, I mean really driven them to death, some to the point where they die on the highway, and I will do a qui

I disagree, it's death by a thousand paper-cuts. Having my funds reduced to 91% the rest of the year is waaay worse for me, than having it reduced to ~0% the rest of the month. Because, the rest of that month, I'll be super-vigila

I'd prefer the single line magic one. Exactly because now.. what used to be a menial computation required to get from A to B, has become a Thing, its existence has been justified not just by the declaration of a named function, but it

There's a balance to being overly verbose and isolating _EVERYTHING_ from _EVERYTHING_ to such a degree that it's a major travel all around the codebase to follow one little path through a single call, and cramming _EVERYTHING_ in
