We seem to have a similar philosophy. Have you found a good way to deal with modifying or selectively disabling things like webpacked js or react?

Extensions are set to auto update by default, and it's not obvious at first how to disable that. It's also disallowed to install an extension you've built from source on most release builds, without messing with a hex editor.

I don't understand it. I do keep an ungoogled chromium install around for the few times when I suspect a site is intentionally breaking itself for firefox, and it's not a big deal to open on occasion. Otherwise, if you value custo

I'd rather have an empty description than a giant wall of LLM-generated text that says nothing useful and that the submitter probably didn't even read.

If there's anyone who shouldn't be cognitively disengaging, it's young kids. The push to get kids using LLMs is to create permanently dependent future customers.

Yeah, stack overflow has recently either added cloudflare or changed its settings, so I am completely unable to access it. I assume I'll pretty much be locked out of the majority of the internet in a couple of years at most.

It's what makes people attribute intelligence to them, and why the manager types like them so much, and why I dislike them so much. And this article made me think it might just be inherent to how they work though, because they are LLMs

Accepting the 99% figure, 1% is not a particularly small number. That's about 3.5 million people in the US alone. And it becomes much greater when you consider anyone who cares about someone in that 1%.

A 3-4 second cloudflare wait seems good to me at this point. I had to just block any cloudflare requests because some pages that used it would just rev up a cpu core indefinitely and hang the browser.
