The infographic in the article suggests they occur in aged cheeses, fried foods (including chips and french fries), roasted nuts (including peanut butter), and seared tofu. I believe those are all vegetarian staples.

On iOS the app can ask to take over certain https urls. The web site also needs to have a special file to grant this access. Bluesky is choosing to do this to you. I used this for a login / reset flow about a decade ago, so it's b

Speaking of parsing, back around y2k we were building an app that used XML everywhere, which was the style at the time, and our DBA wanted to write an xml parser in SQL (the api would involve sending XML to the database). That got vetoed. I

There is a street that does this in Alameda (3200 block of Thompson), and I'm told they have a covenant/contract requiring you to overdecorate when you buy a house on that block.

Therein I learned that "Haskell is a dynamically-typed, interpreted language". I've seen it said that Haskell type class resolution is essentially prolog, but this drives the point home well.

I have found AoC fun, but on some of the later days time constraints make it a little stressful (full time job + kids constrain my time). I've done it (and completed it) the last five years. I used it to try out a few languages (Haskel

Quite a few people do that. My grocery store's app and the Tesla app stop working if I bring up my vpn through DO. (I first set that up years ago because the legoland hotel's wifi was blocking reddit.)

I played with web2js a couple of years ago. TeX ends up being a 500kb WASM file (88kb gzipped). The LaTeX format file or the memory image after LaTeX is loaded are a bit bigger though (2.3 MB and 6.3MB gzipped, respectively).

I had a prof in college describe solving a rubik's cube as group conjugation (e.g. f * g * f^-1). For example, you find a way to swap two pieces on the top layer and mangle the bottom (f), turn the top (g), and then do the opposite (f^
