I don't know if LT and RMS would have gotten along in that way, but how productive over the years has each one been? If you put them on the same team and paid them well, and they had goals they shared, etc., etc., I don't find it all that

My experience differs. I found it much easier to pair with poor/inexperienced programmers than to encounter their code later without having paired. By letting such a programmer do the driving and critiquing as they went, I felt like they

It still bothers me that web browsers don't really "do" REST without Javascript.

Civ III taught me that cruise missles are worth more than nukes, are cheaper to build, and don't set the world against you for using them.

I stopped yahooing after I was signed up to hotjobs through a newspaper and there was no interface for unsubcribing to their spam. So I canceled yahoo whole hog and haven't missed it.

I don't know anything about the lemonpos code, but they presumably have made and corrected their share of beginner's errors in the POS space, and you would save a lot of frustration by not repeating them :)

In medical professions, you go through a period of training (clinicals, internship, residency) where people with tons of experience point out that you never learned anything. This humbling experience is not really available in the CS world
