Well, it's a pleasant surprise to see this being still posted! It's been 10 years this last April that I made HackerTyper! https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2480946 I can honestly say it 100% bootstrapped me in

RE: "possible very expensive claims" I think that if you claim you are ethically sourced and high quality, you need to back it up, and that can be expensive. E.G. trips to farms, process to check on them, constant quality control

> green beans are hand-selected directly from each farm after traveling there to sample and source This is a major, major point that you should absolutely highlight! We are hackers, we love the behind the scenes. You should try to show w

Cute idea, but my feedback here is going to be pretty harsh. Although it might be a valid effort, it feels like a pretty cheap money grab by rebranding some random coffee we know nothing about. My suggestions would be: - have some actual sh

Midly related: John Koenig recently released a book called "The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows"--a continuation of the amazing homonymonous YouTube channel[1]--which contains new words he created to describe emotions. Personally, I

For those wanting a more honest alternative to Grammarly, LanguageTool[1] is open source and quite good. That said, I am not a power user and my English is just passable, so your mileage may vary. [1] https://languagetool.org

In Italy, Debit Cards are also the norm and still verified with Avis if they were accepting them and they confirmed they do. And yet, when I tried to pick up a car in Milan with a debit card, I was told that they don't allow debit card

I disagree. If users can comment/contribute, and it's not just a private direct line to support, then people will start to hang out and talk and learn about each other, and that's a community, no matter the subject.

As always, common knowledge is not really common. Being a parent is a big job in which most people get very little training and most wing it. Trying to make the child happy right away only seems like a natural instinct, even if in the long
