My heart was broken when I was shown that RT supported Bernie. You can find out what Russian Active Measures are pushing by what RT is pushing. RT can be independent, but you have to know when they're pushing something, and when they&#

You probably caught him at a bad time. He's also argued that third parties are the only way forward in America (which I think is not true). At this point, his Common Sense podcast is somewhat repetitive of his previous stuff, but he&#x

Yeah Permethrin works, I use it for my kids when they go camping. I assume it's like everything - once too many use it, it will lose its effectiveness. But not yet!

Not always true about paying taxes - inherited assets are "bullet-vested" to the time of inheritance, with taxes only on increase in value after death.

I agree. As an example, over a decade ago I was on a team deploying an app to Switzerland. They took privacy really seriously, because they told me that employees get fined/imprisoned for privacy breaches, not just corporate fines.

Changes in quantity can be changes in quality. That is, yes, facebook is the same as forwarding emails, but it's orders of magnitude easier to share and view content.

Putting on my marketing hat -- protecting privacy sure has lousy marketing. Privacy is so abstract and sounds passive. Why don't people talk about how upcoming politicians can be blackmailed by having this surveillance info lying arou

What if Tim Cook is a strategy genius? The health care market is gigantic , and if in the long-run, Apple can get a piece of that market, they'd be set for a long time...

I hope we find some ETs. Otherwise I'm worried we're either: - in a simulation, and they didn't bother to simulate other parts of the universe in high fidelity. - in a zoo, and somehow we're blocked from seeing other civ

Sorry for late reply, but I totally did not mean the word "extreme" like you are talking about. I meant extreme as in, my expectations for a newspaper opinion section with the heft of the WSJ should contain wisdom and NOT be mostl

I dunno, the fact that your startup is in the blockchain space is a little too close to banking/fintech for my tastes. PLUS, larger companies don't have a problem abusing NDAs if they can get something out of it.

Changes in quantity can be changes in quality. You're right, all FB did is virtualize social interaction. But now you can interact orders of magnitude faster and with more people with it, thus changing the nature of interacting.
