Chatting can be difficult for men. As a man, we tend to not make points about chatting about our feelings or life. But, when our goal is video games / bowling / watching a football game / whatever else with downtime, well, th

Why not agree to play once or twice a week? For example, every Monday night, you two jump on for a few hours and play and catch up? Also, what do you mean you got nothing done? You bonded with your brother. That seems pretty valuable to me!

If I'm in the market for a product, if a company makes a decent product chances are I'll find out about it by reading reviews, etc. I don't need ads for that. Ads exist to make me spend money that I wouldn't otherwise sp

This guy must feel horrible. "What if I had just left the wasp nest and went to lunch instead?" "What if I had called 911 earlier?" "What if I had used bug spray instead?"

I write first for readability and performance second. Not to say that performance isn't important (and of course I pay attention to O notation), but throwing a little more memory and CPU power at a web page is far cheaper and easier th

Always accessing array.Length is defensively coding. In the event your array is mutated, always accessing array.Length ensures you won't run into an Index Out of Bounds exception. Even better is to just avoid accessing the array's

I remember hearing about this case in college. My professor's point was don't trust software alone. Always include hardware safe guards when it comes to safety.

It's always bothered me how software teams view internal and external users differently. We'll spend lavishly on designing an amazing experience for customers... But internal users are stuck clicking through 500 VB6 forms to get a

I think any therapist who specializes in anxiety would be a good fit. Some studies show CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) to be as effective as medicine. www.psychologytoday.com has a search for finding local therapists. I'd start the

One of the big problems was UWP's cross-platform approach was too narrow. The problem isn't writing across all Microsoft platforms, the problem is writing across all platforms, such as iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, etc. Platforms li

Brave isn't a fork, they take the tagged build of Chromium and apply their own patches. I'm guessing this will make its way into Brave, but their built in ad and privacy blockers should continue to function.

I haven't much looked into 5G. Considering that 95% of the time I'm on WiFi anyway, I really don't get this push for faster and faster mobile speeds. (especially if there's potential to damage wildlife and us with it)

I'm an avid gamer on PC and console (both retro and modern), but not mobile. Mobile games aren't games, they're thiny veiled clones of addicting progress bars designed to annoy you into buying in app purchases.

I'm not sure where I'd recommend anyone (child or adult) start learning how to program. After BASIC disappeared, I always thought Javascript was a good starting place, but even that ecosystem has gotten crazy complex.
