Bad idea, imo. Sometimes you can tell that you want to share because you've already watched it. But, I'm glad they are trying to reduce spam. This just isn't a good way to do it.

The biggest problem with miles per gallon as advertised is that it is inaccurate. Having every vehicle be required to provide that information without having to buy a separate device should be required by law. And every vehicle should keep

I think middleman is a bit harsh. DuckDuckGo is providing a service. It isn't something that someone else can easily do themselves.
