I disagree. I think the price is reasonable and encourages people to use it in their commercial Django projects. There is nothing that prevents people from deciding to pay him more if they feel like it.

Microsoft's offer assigned Yahoo's shares at the same value as Microsoft shares. It was a fair and it was questionable for Yahoo not to take it. On the other side of that coin Microsoft is really lucky that Yahoo didn't take the offer.

Slicehost uses XenSource. Rackspace uses XenServer which is not quite the same thing. Rackspace is migrating all slicehost customers to their XenServer based services and doing away with their XenSource product.
