You can really see that Linus has been working on his communication skills. He's become much friendlier than in ye olden days. Kudos to him for that.

I am currently paying 70€ for a ticket for my city alone. Even at 49€ it's still essentially free given German standard of living. Combined with the unprecedented range it offers this will still make a huge impact on public transport i

What absolutely uninformed BS.Germanys public transit is organized in many small organizations making it basically impossible to understand what ticket you need to get from point A to point B in many cases. Due to this, a single ticket for

They are in no particular order more resistant to under and overvolting, much more cycle resistant, much more resistant to storage under high charge level, much harder to get to explode etc. For UPS purposes they are the correct choice all

If you are going to use lithium batteries for UPS purposes, you should look into lifepo batteries. Much safer for that purpose

Looking forward to trying this out. Should also give Iced a boost in popularity. I can't wait for the linux desktop to finally get rid of GTK and QT. Both have served us well but they are a product of a time long gone by.

True, to a degree. I won't ever pay 10-15€ for a 10 year old pc game but paying 1-3€ to have it in my steam library and not have to deal with wine/proton by hand is often worth it.

Wow thanks. So for the Agilex D the answer is maybe, since the currently limiting factor seems to be number of logic elements and it would need at least a 3x upgrade in that regard [1] for n64. Well, one can hope that these become cheap eno

The peak brightness is there but not in per pixel dimmable displays (OLEDs) and you would need well above 15000 Hz to simulate a CRT.

Quite interesting. The hardest part would probably not be the simulation but actually displaying what is simulated (in real time). You would need pretty high peak brightness and an insane refresh rate.
