Ketamine has been known to be "psychologically dependent" with heavy use - I guess the real world might seem a bit dull for some after all the crazy things that happen in the K-hole. But very heavy users can also experience extreme bladder

Do you write old-and-busted OpenGL or new-hotness OpenGL? Seems fairly clean to me when you leave out all that legacy crack the CAD vendors can't seem to give up.

Valve are quite concerned about Microsoft's moves with the Windows 8 Store. Linux is a less risky bet than you might think. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2012/07/steams-newell-windows-...

The abundance of awful OpenGL drivers is one of the reasons given for the ANGLE project ( http://code.google.com/p/angleproject/ ). I've often wondered what those cards are though? NVIDIA drivers at least always seemed to have solid OpenGL

First of all, this looks great. But is there a reason to use this custom BinaryPack format, over another binary JSON-alike such as msgpack, which already has a lot of bindings in other languages?

Yeah, you wouldn't think so though, given the one-digit difference in name and the way they place it right next to the PA248Q in their marketing materials. That's marketing departments for you, I guess. Thanks for the tip on Trace Free. It

I bought a PA238Q a while back, and I use it now as my second monitor. It has incredibly bad persistence... like 20 to 30 seconds of afterimage when I move a window full of text out of the way. Plus the backlight bleed on a black screen is

I had a CEO once who used to say "execute" a lot. I didn't really know what it meant either but it felt exciting when he said it. Sometimes I say it myself in the shower, when there's no-one within earshot.

I agree, it gives the device some serious cachet. "The new Galaxy Nexus - a phone so good they had to ban it." Apple claims your product is a serious competitive threat. What better stamp of quality approval can you get?

Can't wait! But until then... Has anyone been using nginx <1.3 to proxy WebSockets using the TCP proxy module (nginx_tcp_proxy_module)? Anyone know from experience if it's a workable solution?

This equivalent to TrueType hinting, right? It's funny that hinting went out of fashion over the years, mainly due to a fairly sensible argument from Apple that displays would get better - which they undoubtedly have if you look at an iPad

It's funny how (to me, at least) the Impress.js deck works, but the Coca-cola one doesn't. Not just a matter of duration, there's something in the animation. Maybe it's the little things like the way the Impress.js animation emphasises the
