The spec is open and not that hard to implement should it become necessary. I'd say that the vendor lock-in is lot lower than with your typical open-source large dependency like React or Spring, and people are generally happy to accept

I basically disagree with all of these. Graphql isn't that complex, not more complex than the widely accepted SQL schema + query. Tooling is top-notch (Graphql-codegen, Apollo, Postman, Graphql playground), and is quite easy to use. Ju

How it that relevant? Just as a music shop selling CDs cannot fix that a lot of their royalties (purchase price) don't go directly to artists and music labels skim a lot, Spotify cannot fix this. In fact, Spotify has improved this situ

I believe most EU countries aren't that interested in that information. It's mainly because of the unique policy of the US that you have to pay taxes as a citizen no matter where you live and work. Afaik all EU countries have th

What self-driving cars do is closer to something an animal like a deer does, not something a bacterium does. And you'd generally say a deer uses some intelligence while moving.

I don't see how this is relevant. Computers in the 1970 had no situational awareness about people interviewing for jobs. So yes, that software might be crap, it still has infinitely more awareness.

Holland introduced a nationwide RFID based public transport pass ~13 years ago. It had similar problems, probably mostly caused by incompetence, e.g. it was all based on an expensive, obsolete and insecure "Mifare Classic" RFID ch

What you're saying is not entirely false, but it is naive at best. Ireland, the Netherlands & co are fully aware of these tax loopholes, even if we give them the benefit of the doubt that they were not originally intentional. They

Afaik what lets encrypt did is not a "hack" and perfectly valid. It sounds like users who have FIPS requirement need to fix it for their won use-case since its a bug in what they use and already fixed for everyone else.
