Second CPU idea is brilliant. I’d buy an iPad for second screen, second CPU and occasional plane/hotel Netflix/Youtube.

In my experience the secondary effect on morale from the leadership who did this not being impacted or punished is even worse. My experience is that employees would love to see leadership held accountable (as the employees are) and morale

This is the issue. I feel bombarded by trump's firehouse of bullshit, but some of it has to be important, right? So how can Kagi create a "smart" trump filter that focuses on the most important stuff and reduces the firehose.

Here's an alternative take, but along similar lines. Many high level business leaders in large established companies loathe taking risks and sticking their necks out. Instead, they hire a management consulting company (think McKinsey)

Anyone who owns a Tesla with “full self driving” knows how this is going to go. Teslas using only camera vision just don’t have the sensor package and programming to actually perform self driving. I just don’t see this going well for Tesla

He was spending $5b a year on whatever the metaverse was supposed to be and even renamed the company. Does anyone here use it? I think he weathers what I consider failure well. Or, conversely he can take big risks without too much blowback.

Came here to say this, upvoted. Both Apple and Microsoft have "corporate IT" settings that can be used to turn off "trust my device", "remember me", etc. Auditors and CISO offices tend to lean in on checklist s

OpenAI’s report shows how they are able to detect, disrupt, and expose abusive activity including social engineering, cyber espionage, deceptive employment schemes, covert influence operations and scams. With some interesting examples.

Obsidian user here. BUT I also have a lot of stuff in Apple Notes. Have wanted to consolidate but always seemed to much of a chore. This is awesome for my use case. Kudos to Apple for adding this!

Rushmore is my favorite Wes Anderson film. I think you nailed it. It was a great film that was “enhanced” by Wes Anderson’s style. Newer films seem to be primarily delivery vehicles of his style, with a hint of story and plot to move it alo

There are millions and millions of lines of old COBOL code. I’m surprised there isn’t a commercial “pluggable” transpiler product. Read in COBOL, output Java, Rust, Go… Many COBOL systems also have a lot of intelligence in the job stream or

There is inelasticity in gas prices. If the cost of gas goes up you still have to drive to work and the supermarket. Eventually you buy a more fuel efficient car or switch to an EV.

Currently using Claude code and Cursor, but VSCode is copying Cursor rapidly. Not sure if the VSCode forks will survive. Ideally we’d have VSCode with a robust agent capability and a fully open “bring your own LLM” feature.

Isn’t big LLM training data actually the most analogous to the internet archive? Shouldn’t the title be “Big LLM training data is a piece of history”? Especially at this point in history since a large portion of internet data going forward

I love sci-fi! Thanks for sharing. However to destroy humans, violence is not necessary. All you need is the power of language. How many people have died because of a false belief? An AI only has to convince humans to “drink the koolaid” or

Congrats! Side question - is the website OS as well? I'd like to "borrow" the Nav Bar code. I looked on GitHub and couldn't find it in the repos and 300+ branches. Cheers!
