Given the nature of the format, what would be a tactic you would consider... unmanipulative, yet could still be effective?

After recently discovering I type with 5 fingers on the left and with just 1 on my right, this is a great way to improve! Started working on Typing Academy but the randomness of the characters can be off-putting at times. Example: “jkk asa

Here's a possible scenario based on the OPs story. Two brothers - one works as a taxi driver, the other as an airport guard. The taxi brother inserts small packs of cocaine in the bags of his passengers. Then texts his airport guard br

While it's tempting to think "mmh, another todo app?" - I must say that as a professional procrastinator and prolific never-to-be-read-again note taker, I'm drawn to the concept. Clear and concise. Might just work!

I think the intention behind the OP’s post was to test how quickly you could steer the algorithm in a very specific direction.

That 5 monkeys story is definitely not false, nor fabricated. I've seen it myself in a social experiment where actors were placed in a waiting room. There were 5 actors that stood up for 5 seconds every time a bell was rang at random m

Yup, when you constantly do new things time does seem to last a lot longer! Great way to make a 6 day holiday feel like 2 weeks!

There's this big "Aha" moment I had while reading a book this vacation; I realised that I wanted to be financially secure since it was the only means available in today's society to be "set" - secure. If I was

"It is possible to slow time somewhat" I've discovered how during a holiday in a camper 2 years ago. Do a -lot- of new things on a single day. We had a 6 day trip and it felt like 3 weeks. It was magic. While routine and habi

I saw these Starlink speed test results 2 weeks ago: https://tweakers.net/i/xDBb34kfMAju3YPPMsC3iOc2gXc=/656x/fil... Seems like pretty solid latency :)

The title seems to insinuate there’s a correlation between a startup’s value and dev language. While I think our “inner geek“ all likes to think so - is that really the case?

I remember reading this somewhere as well. If I recall correctly it was called something like “compound skills”. Could have been... Linchpin.

Yeah I think Telegram, like Whatsapp, is adopted broadly enough not to bias too heavily in one direction. Definitely not 90%, and especially not if that “bias” matches the word on the street.

With religion ymmv. A lot of people do not believe in some super-being, but do believe in belief and the benefits it brings them. A feeling of happiness, a social group to belong to, and a way of coping with the bigger philosophical questio

Is there some deeper meaning to 1 + 1 = 2 you could enlighten us on? Most teachers I’ve met seem perfectly capable at getting at least that across.

So.. how would this be different from the Macedonian troll farms or Cambridge’s media manipulation? You seem proud of the technical product you built, but have you considered how it can and probably will be abused?

My preference is to buy full black jeans and shirts, 10 at a time. They look good and don’t go out of style. No insecurity when going outdoors and tons of cognitive load freed up for other stuff every morning. Instead of having to choose an

Have a look at ElasticSearch. I was taken aback by how fast it was performing complicated full text queries in a dataset of 300 million web pages. It was essentially a matter of scrape - clean (remove HTML) - index (add to the DB) - search.

Hehe same here but, the poster mentioned 2010 and total revenue. If it’s $100.000 in 1 year, then sure! That would probably have potential for growth as well. This didn’t read like that :) A revenue of 100.000 spread over 2 years wouldn’t b

Thanks for sharing! That’s the downside of mediocre success. Too little money to outsource tasks, too much to abandon and allocate your time resources elsewhere. Glad you made the right call and I hope you find another passion project soon!
