I loved Pinboard when I was using it, but my biggest pain point was the lack of a decent Android app. It was cumbersome to get websites from my phone's browser into Pinboard. I'd easily pay $2/month for a polished, modern And

I'm planning on switching from macOS to Windows 10 in the fall, and could not be more excited. I specced out a pretty powerful workstation: 16 core/32 thread AMD Ryzen CPU, 32 GB RAM, 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, and AMD's newest g

I don't understand why the federal minimum wage isn't pegged to regional costs of living. I'm sure a $15 minimum makes sense in San Francisco, but should we force small, rural towns to also pay $15?

I think from an app developer's perspective, web-based apps are definitely the way to go. That's because it's so incredibly difficult to build a good web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android app. I'm hopeful that one day ma

What does a subscription have to do with native apps though? All of Adobe's apps are native apps even though they require a subscription license.

It's still crazy to me that a $16B company can't make the financials of a true native app for Windows and macOS work. Microsoft has some real soul searching to do to fix up Windows development and make it easier and more attractiv

You still need some sort of authentication before the vehicle will let you switch into drive. In a Model 3, those options are either an authenticated smartphone, a key card, or a key fob. You cannot enroll any of those three keys without ha

I'm going to be really interested in seeing how this rolls out (that's assuming it ever does) in the United States. All four major carriers have RCS implementations, but as far as I can tell, none of them are interoperable or univ

It's not. It's possible Microsoft is making an exception for WSL2, but I highly doubt the user will be able to run arbitrary VMs on HyperV without a Pro edition of Windows.

AirDrop is one of a few iOS-only technologies I really wish Android and Windows would adopt. I hate having to upload files from my Android phone to Google Drive, open the Google Drive web app (which isn't a quick loader mind you), find

I imagine it would be the same as logging in with any other OAuth provider. I highly doubt Apple would lock people out of the ability to sign in with their Apple ID on the web, and if you can sign in on the web, you can sign in on Android.

I was really hoping Apple would price the Mac Pro at a reasonable starting point, hopefully stymying the flow of developers from Apple hardware to alternatives. The features are obviously right for extreme creative pros, but I don't th

Google actually demoed the same approach three years ago. [1] Hopefully now that Apple is doing it, Android developers will finally implement it as well. [1] https://www.greenbot.com/article/3072233/zip-pow-google-
