It doesn't sound too plausible to me. It's only a revenue leak if the flash applications are going to stop people from paying money for Apps at the App store. But I think flash would mostly be used for free stuff, and would only really co

Historical data should be available for free. The money you pay for real-time data is the exchange fee- ie it is paid to the NASDAQ, NYSE, or whoever. The exchanges do not allow real-time data to be offered for free.

I call BS. The trouble Microsoft has had with Vista would be nothing compared to the trouble it would have if ALL applications had to be recompiled to work with Windows 7. The article cites no sources and doesn't offer any substantiation
