Thanks that was inspiring to read. I'm curious your thoughts on names in all this. E.g. your profile/website (cool website btw!) uses a handle or brand (badsoft), but no "I am Firstname Lastname". How do you introduce yo

Would love to see a new project doing a complete re-write of the standard office suite - desktop / local first - cross-platform and first-class wasm build - optional online/collab capabilities - low bloat and fast compile time - h

Add the ability to export your account config (yaml?) and use it with privacy pass. Maybe even sync it with git. To avoid fingerprinting by config, have a page where the community can share and vote on best configs, then clone and use a pop

Still using wine+foobar2000 as my music player here. The only issue I can think of is sometimes when when turning my screens off and back on, the UI might be glitched and need a restart.

A simple solution is to use bubblewrap locally. Only bind mount specific directories into it and a copy of your vscode config (which you could merge any changes back if you need). Then you can install random extensions and let the AI wreak

Cool demos! Interesting to think of these not as 64 byte programs, but something like 24 bytes or less (<3 bits each for the 6 symbols).

Idk why you say so. It doesn't take much searching to find receipts for people showing 3-4Gbps. But "realistic" is gonna be very hardware/firmware dependent, proximity to router, etc. Examples 2 yrs ago hitting 3.9Gbps

thanks, could definitely consider doing an access point instead of full router replacement seems like this one doesn't currently have MLO but might come in a future firmware update. Though then limited by single 2.5Gbps ethernet port

personally I was looking at replacing laptop wifi cards with BE200s and a new wifi 7 router to get at least 2Gbps for local network file shares sans cables. People also seem to get 4Gbps with MLO enabled. but the 6GHz routers are very expen
