I think WSL2 has that, WSL1 used to be super slow disk wise, but I've seen near-native disk speeds on NVME drives on WSL2 (Specially useful for node_modules)

I think the first step is having CI but not reacting to it. For a while I shared your view, but after just "enabling it in the background" nowadays it's really useful. Even if it's just an "it compiles" check.

I actually made it once or twice to HNs front page, and what I've seen is that HN is one of the heaviest users of adblockers in the general population. I did a request counter vs an analytics counter, and I'd say you easily get 2x
