I think WSL2 has that, WSL1 used to be super slow disk wise, but I've seen near-native disk speeds on NVME drives on WSL2 (Specially useful for node_modules)

- hansvm 5y agoOnly when accessing WSL-owned files though right? Like, if you're wanted to work on the same repo with some Linux tools and some Windows tools you'd still have a ton of pain points?
- withinboredom 5y agoYou’re going to probably run into issues anyway. Linux tools expect case-sensitive file systems and explode in interesting ways when they’re not.
- hansvm 5y agoDepends what you're doing and how windows-centric your files are I guess. At my last job I mixed and matched tools like that, and it generally worked great aside from the mediocre disk throughput.
