I agree that the busy work in todays open world games are mostly boring and not providing any kind of experience. But that's also part of the problem of modern game design. Side content is mostly boring and useless.

But this is exactly one of the problems of today. Everything uses UX metrics to base their design around. It makes the end result boring and predictable and the opposite of immersive. I agree that there needs to be pacing, but there are gre

Yes and No, i think modern games lead more people to be like this. Because quest markers and gps navigations and hints and creative/story modes. Also a heavy emphasis on the rewards rather than the quest. I notice this myself when goin

I also think this signals a change in how games are played these days. There are many players that don't want to be challenged or explore, they want to complete tasks and get rewards. Some of them don't really care that much about

It's even worse, since they dropped the core now and just call it .NET. So searching has become even more of a pain. It's also pretty much a mess, because many things were different between the versions. So let's say you go

It's not only kids that buy these. I know a lot of 40+ year old men that buy skins and useless junk in video games all the time. They spend a ton of money on cosmetic junk in short lived video games. It's puzzling to me, but

In my opinion, this is largely due to the fact that the focus is mostly on quantity and not quality and has been for a while. Writing has been about putting out X puff pieces per day and very little of the industry is actually interested in

They pioneered the google spam with their useless website that requires a login for everything. I excluded them from all searches years ago because 75% of google image search results are Pinterest spam links.

But what would those principles be? Are our principles aligned with other beings in mind? Other Humans, animals, etc.? At this point we have a bunch of rules and principles that have exceptions if someones benefit from violating them outwei

What if the adult on the messenger has a button to send drones to the childs house? Or turn on/off the electricity/heating/access of that house?

Since actual AGI is nowhere near, everything about it is speculation. So his point about there being no evidence is valid for the time being.

Has human deaths ever prevented anything from being developed further? Did we phase out guns, drones, bombs, nukes, fracking, etc.? If there is money to be made, it will be made.

There are countless possible means to do that. Maybe it'll social engineer someone to connect the network to the outside world. Is the network really isolated? Can the AI find ways to breach it? If i look at what security holes humans

How can there be alignment, when humans themselves aren't aligned anywhere? Giving it a fancy name like 'superalignment' is typical manager bogus.

I don't think access to bing or google solves this problem. Right now, there are many questions that the internet gives unclear answers to. Try to find out if a plant is toxic for cats via google. Many times the results say both yes

It's not that easy in many parts of the world. Whatsapp became the standard communication not only with your friends, but also businesses. You talk to your bank manager via whatsapp and your doctor etc. No Whatsapp, no talk.

Aren't you just hiding the flaws in the overall system by confiding the tests to your microservice? That's my experience at least. Things still break, you just notice it later.
