at this early stage in the bitcoin game, the price is much more affected by supply-demand of the currency than inflation of the USD.

When we were doing diligence with Sequoia, they brought in Greg to dig in on the technical side. Needless to say, this man knows his stuff. Not often you meet a VC who still codes and is familiar with the inner workings of BGP.

https://www.tizen.org/about/devices that's about all you need to know right there. support is planned for smartphones, tablets, netbooks, in-vehicle infotainment, and smart tvs, and it's not even released yet?

Rent control. A lot of people are living/stuck in apartments and paying much, much less in rent. The high rent only applies to new people moving in, and I'd suspect that less new non-tech people are moving in these days.

Right now search for people that aren't in your friends-of-friends network is generally broken. When I try to find someone by name/school, name/city etc it returns that no-one exists. I suspect it's some kind of sharding issue and FB search

Clearly some ideas are more easily clone-able than others. It also probably matters how quickly BigCo clones your idea vs how much mindshare and traction you already have. That being said, Snapchat definitely doesn't have some kind of birth

you have to understand that YC & the start fund has little to no control over the companies, except perhaps moral authority. YC has common shares (and a small minority at that) while the start fund is arguably even worse off with a conv

This article is extremely misleading. Delta has 100% coverage for their own fleet. They do have a significant number of short-haul flights offered by affiliates under the "Delta Connection" brand -- these are all very small planes where you

They could own 1/10th of that and still be profitable based on a single company, and it's extremely unusual to see 90% dilution. So while you're technically correct that they don't own 7%, it's unlikely to matter in this example.

I think you may have missed my point. It was that the "business person" is usually seen as "just having an idea, not doing any real work" by this community -- even though they would bring marketing, PR, product, etc skills to the table. And
