Started out with potential and then the author quickly put Steve Jobs' junk in their mouth. The notion that you can only manufacture successful products by controlling both the software and the hardware is not just silly, it's empirically d

Why? Why do people still get hung up on people using drugs? Are you assuming he is an addict? Do you know he abuses them?

I knew these "tips" when I was 16 after playing with HTML/CSS for a few weeks. These are obvious no brainers for anyone that has any business doing anything web related. Descriptive 404, obvious SEO things that just make sense to do anyway,

That makes more sense, still think that could be done at an application level on the phone. Though in the spirit of being in the cloud and not needing heavy client-side applications, this presents a very nice forward looking solution.

This article is easily defeated by a simple observation. Locking out a competitor from your platform is hardly competition. Maybe "artificial competition". Stealing/copying/borrowing features is the age old cycle of innovation and competiti

I love how Apple 'markets' applications from the App Store they don't like. You're defining marketing to include the definition of the word 'ban'. It's rather silly IMO.

FourSquare is hardly required for this. Any application like Locale or Tasker can do this on any Android phone far more effectively without relying on OpenVBX or an additional "social networking" site.

No offense, but you need to read and write a lot more. I know that your post is not the most important writing in the world, but there are many poorly constructed sentences, misspelled words, completely missing words, etc. It makes a huge d

Apple locking Google out is the same thing as Android competing with iOS. Yup. What's new? One side is competing with the other. The other side is locking them out of the platform on an application (Google Voice) and an advertising level. W

I read all of that. I have no idea why. The single paragraph on different types of plagiarism and great writers who have plagiarized was nearly though provoking, if I hadn't heard those examples before or been a student.

I don't really think either person is being unreasonable. I don't think he was that rude either. If I were him I would've fixed the bug or implemented a work around but clearly he was more interested in additional revenue from new customers

You're giving your password to someone else. You don't magically get some guarantee that they are safe, that they won't be stolen etc. Yes, I know that oAuth perms can be revoked, that is the entire point and that's why it's dumb to give a

Changing my password that I've given to a website hardly qualifies as "revoking access". I have no problem using my Google Account as a login mechanism when it's through oAuth or xAuth or whatever Google is using these days for that pass th

Yes. This is not reason enough for Apple to censor it which is what this discussion boils down to. Is it okay for Apple to censor interracial couples in comics? Come on, this is the 21st century. Apple has no place censoring this. Should we

If it's a killer app, it will be regardless of its acceptance onto the iOS platform. The notion that Apple is hegemonic enough to restrict the level of innovation on mobile platforms is silly.

Have you ever tried to use Windows as a limited user? It's a nightmare. It's "supported" but I can't imagine they actually expect people to use it that way. Why is the first account you create an admin account by default. If they wanted the
