Hey, come on. I also had criticism in time for open source projects I worked on. It's not about the person who did it, it's about my opinion and why I wouldn't use it. Kudos for everyone doing open source.

OMG, another electron app that is meant to run as a daemon. It's terrible. I already have hard times with Slack taking more memory than i would expect from a chat. Yeah, I know that it's super hard to make native GUI these days, b

Well most of the landing pages nowadays look the same. I like both pages, but I don't think it feels like a copy of Stripe's design.

How do you guys, handle this problem? I use either `git-crypt` [1] or `ansible-vault` [2]. 1: https://github.com/AGWA/git-crypt 2: http://docs.ansible.com/ansible/playbooks_vault.html

This reminds me of NodeJS configstore[1]. I would be really happy to learn what are the use-cases for this tool, since using it via bash is actually an overkill. 1: https://github.com/yeoman/configstore

I had a similar problem. Someone hijacked my Skype account ( I think 3 years ago ). Fortunately the support service was pretty awesome and they restored the ownership. You just need to identify yourself as close as possible to your account.

Considering the burnout rate of my fellow non-freelancing developer friends, I would actually suggest the opposite. Staying in a company for 1.5 years and perfecting a niche technology, while helping the company and get paid for that is one

I'm actually not sure where the term Zalgo comes from. I know the effect is abused Unicode feature, but was never sure how does the term "Zalgo" end up explaining it.

Tables are meant to be used for ... tables. Not layout. The downsides are enormous. From hard-to-find bugs through SEO-penalty to code-maintainance [1]. I lived the time when there was no CSS at all. Back then we used tables for everything.
