My 2 cents : 1) Drivers already exist for a huge list of hardware, that can run macOS ( Hackintosh project did a lot of work on that part ). Maybe there will be some unofficial list of supported CPU / Motherboards, etc, for which list

I disagree. jQuery was the tool that acts as a "polyfill" for cross-browser compatibility. Nowadays jQuery is dying, not because of React, Angular or TypeScript, Elm. It's dying because of browser-support of `querySelectorAll

As older as I get ( 30 now ) I feel more and more the world is going to dystopia, rather than utopia. Instead of having a world-wide federation, we will most probably have a period of dissonance around the nations where people will close mo

Just a question. I see more of the commenters have posted their ICQ UIDs with the last digits hidden, like yours ( xxx in the end ). Is there a particular reason for not revealing it?

My ICQ UID is 15584496 . I still remember people buying less-digits or easy-to-remember digits accounts for real money. Gosh, I just logged in. Kudos for not auto-deleting my account for so many years.

Said what? If I understood your sarcasm correctly, I would assume that according to you statistics describe what people are. For example. Statistically Sweden right now has the highest amount of rapes in Europe [1]. So it means that most of

Aaah, come on. Putting labels on people based on the country and statistics is a bit stupid. Same as all arabs are terrorists thing. Yeah sure lots of people from my country ( Bulgaria ) are statistically dodgy, but there are also legitimat

I second this. As far back as I have been a Linux user ( back to Slackware 4 ) I was very pissed by the systemd ideas. Nowadays I think it's priceless when I can just create a unit file for my NodeJS and do journalctl -fu my_app. I thi

Badly engineered, multi-purpose WordPress themes are my favorite on that matter. Not only they make you download the entire set of assets ( Think of ~2 icon fonts, half a megabyte stylesheets, megabytes of JS and on top of that 5$ DO box se

Right. And corporations are actually driven not by profit, but by ideas. Having TTIP, CETA and all those globalization pacts make this article reality in an EU country. It's not about Greek people waking up after a blissful dream, it&#

If Steve Jobs was still Apple's CEO, the only thing that is certain is that he would keep the Skeuromorpihsm UI. For anything else there is no proof.

Precisely. So how do you explain Hackintosh then? If I upgrade the CPU of a Mac Pro, I am obviously running OS X on a non-apple hardware. Or the other way around. If I take the HDD of a MacBook Pro and put it on my Hackintosh, am I violatin

I doubt that. Sketch / Photoshop does not run on GNU / Linux as well as Safari. These are a must for any front-end developer these days and personally although I like some window managers for X11, I can't afford to go that wa

Correct, but why would you use 3 screens when you can use just 2? And anyway I use external keyboard with numeric keys and a magic mouse instead of the trackpad. So why should I keep my Mac open anyway?

What about upgradeability. I guess the fight is lost. I thought "Pro" stands for that. The reason that I will ( probably ) buy Apple MacBooks was narrowed to software compatibility. So sad.

Probably, but I would definitely avoid giving all my DNS resolutions to a *.ru domain. The reputation of the government - shutting down access to websites that hurt them is kind-a no-go for me.
