Anne Wojcicki, ex-wife of billionaire Sergey Brinand whose sister is CEO of Youtube is at the helm of the most invasive and extensive data set known to man. Don't fool yourselves: DNA databases form the bedrock of de-anonymization so c

Hmm, a miscarriage is not an intentional act, whereas there is intention in this case. It is moreso analagous to someone at planned parenthood not authorizing an abortion but providing either direct or indirect assistance for the woman to p

Yes this is absolutely true. But once the cryptocurrencies gain a true grip, along with alternative payment processors, we will really begin to see a true divergence. In some sense, such particulars are the bedrock of the second internet.

We talk all the time about the two internets, one of China and one of the rest of the world. But more and more we are seeing a new division arising within America itself of two internets. I can't say how this will play out long-term, b

And I am sure at least 95% of the populace does the same, and that such passwords are usually quite short. We need a better solution for passwords than we do now.

You could either keep a blanket rule of 50% coverage excempted from such cases, or you could only mandate 50% coverage rules on particular settings/events, such as Presidential election main-line coverage.

Small note, but can't you block Google Analytics with something like Privacy Badger? Google Payments and Google registry services seem near impossible to avoid though. Not to mention the near requirement to use certain Google products

It is only rocket science if you use rockets. If you get the telescope up with a space elevator then the term no longer applies here.

How would we be able to measure if the border crisis is alleviated? Five percent per month seems extreme.

It was a bit of both as I see it. Tab-groups developer quit soon after rewriting the add-on to fit the multi-processing update (which was announced several years in advance I believe, and was anticipated nonetheless), and then right after M

I currently use Firefox, and recently (likely owing to multi-processing) Firefox eats up 2G of RAM for me[0]. I have ~700 tabs open so that may be a factor as well. Other than this the browser works great for me, and I have always used Fire

I am glad Mozilla made the much needed change and don't have long-term problems with Mozilla other than perhaps lack of trust. I did not like how Mozilla made the swift change with little announcement for long-term add-ons though, part

Great writeup Maciej. I do have some questions: (1) Is there an easier secure way to open attachments to Emails? This is a critical point of error in campaigns, and yet your suggested solutions are lacking in my eyes. I for one do not use a

Currently my comment is +4, so I wouldn't be so quick to say it is greyed out. Regardless, claims based on vote totals are not useful and distract from discussion: vote totals consider only the subset of the population willing to parti

You are misreading my comment: there were two major videos of Pelosi that came to the fore recently. The one that Giuliani posted on his twitter was the one mentioned in the article, and the footage and audio was distorted and slowed down.

Trump didn't spread the video, his lawyer Giuliani did. Trump pinned a video of spliced moments of Pelosi stumbling on her words: each segment was raw footage.
