The whole momentum section has been solved. If you take an existing video game where you use a controller to move an avatar that will make you sick, however if you map the games controls 1:1 to the users motion then the problem disappears.

My wife gets sick in 3D movies and she can handle the vive surprisingly well. When the image adjusts to your own movements it's less nausea inducing than viewing lots of motion in a movie while sitting still.

3D TV's were pushed by the manufacturers as a way to sell more tvs. Consumers are demanding VR as evidenced by the oculus kickstarter and preorder volume.

There are plenty of republicans who believe their party is going off the deep end, Mitt Romney for example. And I think there's a lot of insanity on the left too. Thinking a liberal satirist made a good point does not make one a mindle

This cracks me up because some people believe the media has treated Sanders unfairly, others believe they've treated Trump unfairly. Maybe both. Personally I believe left/right bias isn't that interesting. The media has a st

The line stuck so well because it was so poignant when Colbert said it. This was a time when Karl Rove was criticizing people in the "reality based community" who "believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of di

I think there's more to it than "academics are hostile to conservatives". The conservative movement in this country is vehemently anti-intellectual. People love to point to Trump but even George W Bush played dumb to appeal t

I'd add 4) Flagrantly violate existing regulation. Uber/AirBnB just straight up ignored laws regulating their industry. They bet that regulators wouldn't crack down too hard and they were right. But not every industry is regu

GS "knowingly misled investors". This is worse than incompetence, it's outright fraud. It's less analogous to accidental customer data leaks and more analogous to running a phishing operation.

What amazes me is that shareholders let it happen. That money on the balance sheet belongs to them, either the company should invest it or give it back to the shareholders via dividends.

I'm not a Bernie supporter, but Bernie is quite explicit in his desire for Scandinavian style democratic socialism. Conflating it with what happened in the soviet union is disingenuous at best.

I think they view attacks on trump as apolitical since "he doesn't represent the mainstream of the party". Turns out the "mainstream" of the party is more deranged and racist than even most liberals suspected.

There's some anti-trump bias in reporting, but if you watch interviews with him, reporters never take him to task for anything. They'd rather help spread his message than risk losing interviews (and thus ratings). http:/

Maybe the problem is that Facebook hires the students with straight A's, while the "artists, creatives, hackers, and innovators" feel stifled being a cog in an ad machine and stike out on their own instead?
