I am a Scala developer but I agree with your points. The only thing that just simply drives me mad in Rust is mandatory semicolons. Once you are used to be able to omit them then it gets really annoying to go back using them.

Just for fun speculation. What if someone realized that Google is scraping/using his data. Then he decided to put in a "honeytoken" to check this assumption and at the same time pull a prank on Google. Once he realized that h

It's a marketing term invented by companies for recruiting. If you think about it, A-Player simply means: "the people who we decided to hire". The idea is brilliant: - If you are rejected, it is your fault. You are not good e

And you can create a new string interpolation to make card instances, like: card"Heart:Ace" or card"$suite:Ace" if you want to reference a variable.

Yep, valuation can be simply a function, but wrapping in a typeclass might work as well.

I really love the "Informal Reasoning" support idea. Does it have a reputation system (I see it on the architecture diagram)? In my proofgraph I used the notion "certificate". Theorems are either certified by proof (stro

I am not sure. I have seen funny MC generated text before, but I think headlines are short and their structure plays well with the Markov Model.

I have the same feeling. Have you checked Rust? It is a different approach where ownership and mutability are strictly controlled via the type system.

Why does everyone refer to this as "Google's system"? The idea of slowing down clocks instead of turning them back is very-very old. In fact 10 years ago one of the first thing we were thought at university in the Embedded Sy

They should not focus on interface at all, but provide a socket and a protocol to communicate with the engine. Then the community can build fancy clients, mods, whatever.
