This might be a silly question but when do you think there will be a global tax? Something akin to a world government tax? The US has it to some extent when it taxes citizens outside the country but even that can be escaped. There was som

I don't agree with this. Wealth was tied to land in the past but not anymore. If there were something that could be equated with a land as a resource then I'd support the effort but an income tax is more of a catch all for the v

The great thing about steganography is that as long as information is expected to arrive unmolested and unchanged you can't defeat it - at least as long as encryption is used along side it. Lets say you have an image, maybe lena.jpg o

I love this. Previously there was a story about using viruses in order to combat drug resistant bacteria[0]. The more tools we have to kill them off, the better. It's only tangentially related but my feeling is that we've barel

What the GP posted is a bit misleading, you either get the rebate or the carpool lane stickers if you're over the cap but not both. It does suck but I think it's for the best. The hov lane in norcal is becoming relatively crowde

It's a mistake to conflate "decentralization" with "blockchain". One is not necessary for the other and decentralization has not fallen apart. I'm not even talking talking about mastodon either. I don't
